Picked up my new build yesterday.... Think it turned out pretty well.

Looks nice. You said you picked it up. Did you do the build or have someone do it?
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Is that a PSA assortment of parts? Or something else? Looks good! very clean and simple.

Please give us a breakdown on the parts you used and a range report once you get it out to range.
Clean and sweet. Congrats. Shoot it in good health.

Weight is the down side of almost all the 308 AR's. OP, what's your rifle weight with a loaded 20 rd mag and scope?
Regarding the weight, here is what I came up with.
Unloaded without scope; without bi-pod = 9 lbs (9.02 to be exact)
Scope = 15.2 oz
Bi-pod = 1 lb, 3.75 oz
Mag + 20 rds = ~ 1.5 lbs
Total weight with scope, bi-pod, and loaded = 12.68 lbs. I might look at lighter bi-pods as I'm just using one that I had laying around.
No question that it is heavier than a 5.56/.223, but I was looking for something with a little more range for a SHTF addition to my collection. I decided on the .308 since I can also go 7.62x51mm (NATO) for ammo availability in the event of a zombie apocalypse. Also, I can put a new upper on it and convert to 6.5 Creedmore.
I'll post my range findings in a separate post so I can upload the photo easier.
That's about what my StG.58 weighs. Maybe a pound more. You know you're humping a rifle.
