Honestly my ar is not worth a photo , its a 16" with standard gas sys and handguards , nothing to see but fine to shoot . I am putting a shittystock ( collapsable ) on it due to the wife whining when she shoots it .

For a beginner i would honestly suggest that they pick up a brand complete lower ( bushy , rra , or stag ) then research and find out what you want for an upper ( barrel weight and construction , sight options , ect.. ) and buy that What works for me as a minimum is adjustable stock , standard trigger ( soon to be smithed to better single stage ) flat top upper with a medium weight barrel no muzzle attachment at all . its 16" on the tube and shoots minute of prarie dog out to 1/4 mile .

I picked up a stripped bushy lower and then got a "complete rifle kit" from RRA.

    Here is the finished rifle:

I'm not the most "handy" person on the planet but I found some directions on www.ar15.com and it was pretty easy. The only special tool I purchased was the CAR wrench for the stock.

Looks great Packerfan. I just picked up my RRA Tactical A4 on Tuesday. I was going to build, but decided to start with the whole piece and then do some mods. I've ordered a decent reddot and will likely mod the handgards to a picatinny. The flat top is nice and it has a riser with adjustable rear sight. It's sweet - can't wait to fire it.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine!

I'll be getting an Aimpoint ML3 for mine relatively soon.
