I wouldn't own a hi-point but it's not because I blame Colombine on them. I do own two Rugers. Both were gifts from family. I'll never buy a Ruger. Why? Bill Ruger Sr (the LATE) supported the AWB and if you'll notice that support left him OFF the first designated list issued by the Clinton regime. Again, that's just me. For the duration of the Clinton regime, I didn't purchase a S&W because they sold gunowners out. Clinton left office, the AWB vanished and S&W changed hands. Now, I own a M642 with plans to purchase the BIG BOY SURVIVAL KIT. 460 Magnum in the watertight case.
Collin Fergeson, the shooter on the Long Island Railroad shooting used a Ruger P95, 9mm with 2 or 3 15 round magazines. This was the reason the 10 round mag limit was imposed on us, because he was able to shoot 15 times without reloading! Good God, if he had had 10 round mags, no one would have been harmed because we all know that no one can hit anything with just 10 rounds!

    Thumbs up

I have a Hi Point 995 carbine and Like it a lot!.

I have had two diffrant types of hardball and two diffrant Hollow points thru it , without any failures.

I plan on purchasing the .45 acp version whrn the become available.

At 50 feet It shrinks my groups of 7 shots by 50% , compared to a 9mm pistol.

five others have shot it and three of them liked it lots also, one person did not care for it and another was indifferant.

The warrenty is also the best !
The high point forum has lots of usefull information.
