My (our) Evil Black Long Guns

I made some chages to one of the cannons today, I removed the quad rail assembly from my SOCOM II and replaced it with a standard scout rail. I will probably be going with an Aimpoint later on down the road.

Also featured is a Bushy M4 which started in life as a ban model that I replaced the stock on just after the ban lifted. This is a rare find, an AR with almost 0 modifications, the only things changed were a "tactical" catch added to the charging handle to make it a little more accessible when wearing gloves, and a more ergonomic grip.

Now we have the Benelli Nova which was a B-day presant from Lima,
Theres nothing like drilling really big holes at 50 yards

<---double post so fist pic shows up.

Nice set up there! How do you like the shotgun? I've been thinking about getting one of those! How is the recoil reduction?

I don't have the recoil reduction kit installed or the new comfort tech stock. With 2 3/4" slugs it's not too bad, the shotgun itself is VERY solid, but I wouldn't want to shoot more than 30 rounds in a session.
When using buckshot it's a breeze.

The only thing I don't like about the Nova is the lack of options, don't like the handguard, deal with it. Don't like the stock, deal with it.

Thankfully I like the way it feels so I don't have to worry about it.

Come on...do you really need a reason?

It's black, it's big, it goes boom, and it gets a lot of looks at the range when it goes boom

We've got several guys carrying them on patrol, its short, hits hard and has good capacity. Ive been thinking about one myself.

Those reasons too, it's an all around good rifle to have. I've never been happy with the performance of 5.56 NATO rounds and I'm not too crazy on most of the 7.62X39 platforms available. This was a good comprimise on what I wanted. That and if I ever move back to a state that allows semi autos for deer hunting, I've got a 5 round mag and .308 will definately fall a white tail.

Looks like you've about got it covered. Nice guns.

All you lack is a precision rifle in a major caliber.
