Well I have my own half FAL half FN, built by a weapons techs. I also carried the FNC1 in the army and the C2 automatic heavy barreled bipod with 30rd mag.

Nice! I had a friend like you. He had multiple G1's and L1A1's. He would never sell one to me, he loved them all.
I like the SAW furniture. Is it comfortable to shoot and can a bipod be mounted to it? also what do you think of the slide in scope mount? I see you have the bolt on type.

I'm not too partial to the SAW furniture - the buttstock is so-so but I like the grip. No bipod is possible, but I do like the forend, especially when hot.

As far as scope mounts, the old FAC ones worked well (B-square knockoffs), especially for the $23 they went for back then. I have a slide-in mount for the inch guns and they lock in well enough but I've got enough scoped or scope-capable at this point.

For my serious target gun (Imbel and unissued STG kit), the only mount I trust is the DSA.

    My ideal CQB Rifle

Well, I'm still saving for my FNS2000.
