    AR barrel question

I was just getting ready to order an AR from RRA and i was wondering about the differences in the barrel options. What are the pros and cons of the Chrome-Moly, Chrome lined, and Stainless Steel?
    Thanks

    VERY overly simple here but...
Chrome lined - easy to clean, durable
Chrom-Moly - less easy to clean and less durable
    Stainless - most accurate

there's more to it than that and someone else will chime in with more info, but that's a rough overview to get you started anyway

Chrome lined is mil spec and will by far last longer . Chrome molly and stainless are both " softer" but may well be more accurate ( if you factor things to MOA ) . For Joe Q user it simply does not matter , we will not abuse guns to take advantage of the chrome lined bores , nor can we shoot well enough to take advantage of the long term life of the stainless bores . In summation , if you plan on doing " mag dumps " then get the chrome bore , if you plan on range or " prarie dog duty , then dont worry about it .
Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .

Unless you're going to be shooting in competitions, go with chrome-lined. They last longer, they have an easier break-in procedure, and they're easier to clean.

Go chrome lined...takes longer and costs more but well worth the break-in and cleaning advantages.

I bought an Elite CAR A4 from Legal Transfers and that is the way Pete orders them, chrome lined baby.

Are you going through Pete @ Legal Transfers? I'm not saying the Tac CAR is the wrong choice BUT you may want to go for the Elite CAR A4 due to the mid-length hand-guard. From what I've read and experienced the mid will give you more mounting options down the road plus a better sight picture. Just my $.02

I love my rifle...best AR I've ever shot.
