    Question AR15 Lower's

Well, I decided to celebrate Memorial Day by building another AR.
Im able to get a good deal on a brand new DPMS Forged Lower receiver.
    My question is this.
Are Lowers made by who ever is stamped on the side of it?
For instance, this DPMS lower, is it forged BY DPMS? Or are there only a few places that actually make the receiver?

I have a "Colt" and a Bushy AR and both of the Upper receivers have that "A" letter by the rear iron sight on the carry handle. I understand that was made by the "Anchor Harvey" forgery and NOT made by Colt or Bushy.

So, is this the same deal with the Lower receivers?
I also have an Olympic Arms lower, but the Hammer and Trigger pin holes were out of alignment, and the Oly Lower is almost useless.

One other question, who makes the uppers that have a key hole stamp on them?

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide!
Primary Carry Gun: Sig Sauer 229~R (.40cal w/ Golden Saber JHP's)

lowers are not always made by the place that stamped them, just like the uppers.
also, I just picked up a few of spikes tactical lowers and really like them a lot...so I figured that I'd throw their name out there. I'm actually in the process of setting up a "group buy" for them on another form and Angela has been extremely helpful with the whole process as she was when I was just buying my 3 lowers. I think they run $100 each for a stripped lower (forged T6).

Only a handfull of MFGs actually MAKE raw uppers and lowers.
They then sell them to the GunBuilders.

When you buy a Name Brand you are Actually paying for the
Quality of the finish machining and the Warranty (usually a good thing ).
