    Betty,

    Here are a few places you can try for parts also.

    Thanks for that link - I see there's one here in TN that has parts for it (hope he's got my stripper cliip guides!). I'll give him a call tomorrow.

    I'm not sure what to do about the stock. Leave it as is because it's a part of the history of that individual rifle, or find an original stock and replace it.

    Betty, replacing the stock replaces some of it's history. Older guns with scratches, dings, gouges all have an untold story. IMO, I'd clean the heck out of it, and leave it like it's been all these years. FWIW, I'll never forgive myself for refinishing my great grandfathers shotgun.

    So far I've tried Numrich, Brownells, Dixie Gun Works, Midway, the link OD had, and nobody has my stripper clip guide. I just might have to have one machined for me.

    Hi Betty;

    Did you try Buckingham's? He's got lots of Winchester stuff.

    Yes, that was listed in the link that OD had posted, none of those phone numbers will work ("the number you dialed in incorrect"). I tried it with and without the area code. I even found a 731 number for him elsewhere, and that doesn't work, either. Now that I have a fax number, I'll have until tomorrow when I'm back at the office to send him a fax. Thanks for the link, I hope his fax number works.

    Betty,
    If you're talking about the 901 559 4367 fax number, don't waste your time tomorrow. I just tried it from my home phone and got the same "your call cannot be completed as dialed" message.

    Got him!

    His area code had changed. It's 731-559-4169 (a different 731 number than the one I found earlier). He said he's been unable to get the Winchester website people to change his area code info. I just emailed the webmaster.

    And he says he has my stripper clip guide.
