Just asking; My buddy has a very nice sweet 16, 1951 model with two barrels. One hasn't been used. He's wanting $800 for it. Is that a good price?

thats all gonna depend on the make, model, condition, and how bad you want it...
I've seen used hunting models for $300.

Tell your Dad to look up someones book on gun values. Do not trust a gun dealer to put a price on-he wants it. Sweet-Sixteens have sold for as much as $2,500 in NIB condition.
If in decent condition your Dad's gun is worth $800. Probably more with a two barrel set. A friend passed away several years ago. His widow told me that a gun dealer wanted to give her $250 for her beautiful Sweet 16. Got her $875 for it.
