    Something diffferent...

My latest rifle build a Remington 700 .300 Whisper. This one is shooting a 220 Sierra Match BTHP at 1045 FPS. The action was blueprinted,it has a 16.5 Shilen match barrel, HS Presicion stock and wears a Leupold 10x Mark 4. The can is a Form1 can that I built.Very accurate and very quiet.

    Take a look.

    Sweeeeeeeeeet.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

Sounds (or doesn't) like the perfect SD weapon if the SHTF in a serious way...
Was that a $200 stamp to have something that quiet?

Yep. 200 bucks for the Form 1 and around 700 for the new rifle, barrel and stock. I already had the scope and the mounts. I bought a new .223 rifle and the first thing I did was take off the factory barrel and go from there.

Actually, compared to many commercial brands that we've put it up against, its very quiet.

Every time somebody brings up the 300 whisper I get the unexplainable yearning for one. I can't tell if it's the fact that suppressed it does better at longer ranges that a suppressed .308, or that it's a project gun, which means delving into gunsmithing.

    Nice gun, great videos too.

Nice. Thanks for the footage. Interesting to hear the difference.
