    Now Here's A SHTF Rifle

No high-tech black rifle for me, LOL!

I gotta have one of these bad boys:

When you’re wounded and left on Afghanistan’s plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier.

Well I looked at the rifle and thought, "well that's not too bad".

Then I glanced down at the price. I almost choked on my pop. LOL.

    $5500?

I could get some ammo for my rifle with all that money...

For that kind of money I think I would just get a Barrett

I already have my SHTF rifle. It's an AK. Simple, rugged and works no matter if it is clean or dirty as heck. Easy to strip and clean too. And it has the added benefit of being what about 90% of the world uses for their battle rifle so, if we are invaded by just about anyone who might be likely to invade our country, there will be ammo and mags for it every time I drop a bad guy.

Other than that, I was a Mi Carbine, a great rifle for all around use. That is one of my next goals, get myself an M1 Carbine.

I'd love to have one. My wallet is not quite fat enough right now though. What a nice addition it would be to any collection.
    Steep price tag.

A real Thompson? Or one of the semi-auto reproductions? If it was a real one, I think you either forgot a zero or found someone who has no idea what they have.

A BAR would be a lot of fun to have. I wouldn't want to carry that thing around though. Especially with ammo, those guns weigh a ton.

Yeah, I've paid less for cars.

I like the BAR I would get one when I have a complete collection of all US small arms used during WWII

If money was no object, you can bet I'd have two of those. However, I'm poor.

I know a guy that has one (full auto), he's a former Marine 0311 that now works for the post office, that's frightening.
