We were picking off clay pigeons with it at 100 yards, with open sights. I won't say we were hitting them with every pull of the trigger, but we did break a bunch of them. I'm no expert shot, but it shoots way better than I do. I'm taking it to an appleseed shoot this fall, we'll see how it does there.
Dead reliable, fun, easy to shoot, everything I was wanting when I started looking for a .308 'battle rifle'. Very high quality rifle, and mags are _cheap_!
It does tear up brass though. Dents the mouth of every case that comes out of it, and puts groves down the length of the case. I don't reload for .308, so it doesn't matter to me, but if I were going to reload for it, I might have chosen something a little easier on the brass. I decided not to reload for anything that throws it's brass on the ground... revolver and bolt guns only. I've shot wolf, silver bear, and some old surplus through it. It shoots as well with the cheap stuff (cheap being a relative word when it comes to .308 ammo) as it does with the 'good stuff'.
Liberty is an inherently offensive lifestyle. Living in a free society guarantees that each one of us will see our most cherished principles and beliefs questioned and in some cases mocked. It's worth it.
