    Very nice! Very nice, indeed.

He needs to meet our Bushmaster M4... maybe they can hook up and have babies.. We'll split them, 50/50, as long as "rails" is a dominant trait.

Very nice, but I afraid it looks like it has one of those very dangerous 'shroud' things...
The last Blood Moon Tetrad for this millennium starts in April 2014 and ends in September 2015...according to NASA.

You mean the shoulder thing that goes up?

Nice looking rifle. I would have skipped the charging handle extension and used different sights, but to each his own.

So I had a free 20 minutes yesterday during lunch and went to the indoor range over here and put about 25 rounds through it. Unfortunately the range is only 25 yards long so I couldn't really push the limits with it, but I'll get to the outdoor range this weekend and give a more detailed report. At 25 yards, I was able to put little holes in the paper exactly where I wanted to. We'll see what happens we I can get it out on a longer range. I really like the sights on this rifle with one exception. The 100y aperture setting is a little "W" shaped notch instead of a hole like the 200, 300, and 400 settings and makes for a horrible sight picture. I would prefer to have a larger CQB style hole like the A2 sights for the short range stuff. I ended up using the 200y setting @ the range and that seemed loads better than the W notch. This seems to be a common complaint on the MP5s as well.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased. Scott from Tactics is an awesome gunsmith and really took the time to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. He even called me up later on in the day to make sure everything went perfectly at the range. Two thumbs up!

ok... so I ditched the MP5 sights an ended up putting on a basic pair of DPMS flip ups. I've got an Aimpoint ML2 on it's way and I put on a FVG and a surefire G3 with the pressure strip end cap. I'll post up some new pics tonight :)
