Well actually this rifle is not mine, it is for a customer. Since he won't pick it up until tomorrow I took the liberty of taking some photos.
For more info on the P-415-16-P12SX-CF-223 RECON visit the Patriot Ordnance Factory site. The one my customer ordered is a little different from the one shown on the website in that he ordered Vortec Flash Hider and Troy Industries Folding Battle Sights front and rear. The Troy sights are on backorder so the photos above show only the generic front sight. The POF uses a gas piston system and the C.R.O.S ™ (Corrosion Resistant Operating System) which they claim eliminates the need for lubrication.

AT the moment I would steer clear of this rifle.
One of the members of another forum that is serving with an law enforcement agency took this same rifle to Jeff Gonzalez's Tactical Carbine course in Texas and the OP-ROD broke after 200 rounds fired. It took him about an hour to remove the operating components and discovered that it had actually broken from tugging it out of the rifle.
He borrowed one of Jeff's LMT MRP rifles and continued the course for another 2 day's with no problems out of the LMT.
I believe that POF is addressing the issue but I have not recieved any thing definitive in their response as of yet.
LMT is introducing a short stroke gas piston system this month, or so the rep from LMT told me. I'm waiting to pick one up with an 6.8 SPC barrel and the 556 barrel.
As of now, I'd look for the LMT introduction. I've yet to see or hear of anything from LMT that does not meat or exceed end user standards.

I just got an LWRC- gas piston upper and wrote up a review over here
I did a lot of research on the issue and the LWRC seems to have a reputation as being the closest thing on the market compared to the H&K 416. The POF seems to have had some issues, but i'm sure they will get cleared up soon. I've heard that the primary problem with the POF was the bolt carrier tilting during recoil and causing malfunctions. The LWRC bolt carrier is better designed and has added weight on the rear of the BC (you can see in the pictures at TRP)
Ya' gotta' love those evil black rifles...
