Full stock or folding stock. Too many accidental drawing a bead incidents of others convinced me a pistol grip only was a bad idea.

Collapsible stock with pistol grip. An 18 1/2" barreled shotgun with a collapsible stock can make a compact package for a home SD weapon.

My defensive shotgun has the standard wood stock that came with it. I do like AR style collapsible stocks with pistol grips. However I don't care for the pistol grip only setup. I also don’t like folding stocks. They might look cool when folded but to me often feel flimsy when extended and feel off balance when shouldered.

I don't care for pistol grips on a shotgun, but that's just me.

Full sized synthetic, with or without pistol grip. A PG by itself is not a great idea. A PG stock offers some versatility in handling.

As with all statements I've made and All that I will make, please check your local laws to verify accuracy. (and if i'm wrong let me know as I like to be right in the future) After all I'm just some goofball posting on an internet forum.

Knoxx CAR-style collapsible stock with pistol grip for me. There's nothing wrong with a standard stock, but I wanted recoil-reduction, and the Knoxx came with a pistol grip.

I would personally stay away from the pistol grip only, especially in 12Ga. Bigger guys seem to handle it ok, but it's so much more controllable when fired from the shoulder.
