    Mak-90 After Modifications

    Well, I'm starting to work on my photography and digital skills, and am still learning a few lessons about lighting and clean weapons. LOL.

    This is the MAK-90 I bought last year. Fully US Compliant, it has the required US Parts count now. I haven't shot it yet, but it is rather grubby from being in the back of the Jeep.

    The above is the MAK with the folding stock down.

    MAK again......

    The combo meal.......

    The Glock 17

    Obviously I'm working on lighting, saturation, and some other detail.

    Kind of embarrasing to post pics of a dirty gun here......

    Someday I'll go read some photo hints and ideas and the quality might improve.

    I hope to take the MAK out in a week or two and give it the shake-down with a lot of range time.

    Rock and Glock I must not be as smart as I thought I was. To me that looks like my AK with a folding stock. I always thought a Mak was them small automatic pistol gun that you could get in 9's or 45's that sprayed bullets all over the place.

    MAK-90 Rebuild

    He he he......I guess it's a MAK-90...The Northern ChiCom (Norinco) AK, post-ban.....they labeled it the Modified AK for the modifications required to meet the post-ban import test. Hence the MAK-90's had the thumb hole one piece wooden stock and the muzzle brake threads welded into oblivion or a nut welded on to the threads, or the threads ground off.

    I fixed my nomenclature thanks to your note. I've seen it both ways now, but I don't want to be confused with that PCC group

    You're right - it looks remarkably like yours IIRC! Yours was done first thou - so you get the "Gold Star".........

    I used the TDI pistol grip;
    TDI Forends upper and lower;
    Tapco trigger group;
    Ace adjustable stock

    Nice looking rifle. Might I ask what compliance parts you used?

    US Compliance Parts:

    I used the TDI pistol grip (1);
    TDI Fore-ends upper and lower(1 or 2);
    Tapco trigger group (3);
    Ace adjustable stock (1);
    Muzzle Brake (1)

    Total US parts count: 7 or 8. Minimum is 7 with the brake counted.

    I think I counted correctly. IIRC the Fore-ends count as two parts. Could be wrong. Either way, I have the minimum requisite number of US parts to be fully compliant.
