    New? Used?

If used, no, not really. Its not a rip off, but its nothing to get excited over.

If your looking for an M4 in that price range I'd go with Bushmaster.

Armalite is not a bad brand at all, but you will get more gun for the money with RRA or Bushmaster.

SIXTO , I have owned or Do own Colt , Armalite ,Bushmaster , And RRA
AR15s , and honestly want to know what you base that opinion on.

All of those brands have slight technical differences of course, but I have not
found any great difference in function or fitting , and the street price on NIB
rifles doesn't vary too much if you shop around.

Colts are overpriced, as are Armalites. Both companies leave a lot to be desired in the customer service dept. Both are good guns... no doubt about it, however I think you get just as good of a rifle for less cash in a RRA or Bushmaster. I'm not saying that one brand is better than the other, all have strong points and weak points, but dollar for dollar the two brands mentioned build the better gun.

I do own a Colt, its great. I had a Bushmaster, nothing wrong with it. I have a couple of RRA's they happen to be my favorites. I did have a Armalite for awhile too, and I wouldnt mind having another.
