happy late (2 months late) to me.
well i finally gave into the darkside:

for now i am just going with normal glass optics, but i am looking into red dots for a future purchase.
which ever scope i decide to go with isn't coming til x-mas, but i wouldn't have any opportunity for range time anyway. but the girlfriend has had to put up with me holding the gun since i got it home :)

Very nice, don't worry. tell her in a week or 2 you will probably stop sleeping next to it.

well you seem to have nailed my dilemma. I know that once i scrape up the cash for either an Aimpoint or EOtech I will be added some flip up BUIS. but for now it is simply going to wear a traditional matte finished scope(probably 3-9 power) and without a quick detach mount i don't really have a use for BUIS.
Now i have a question for those that have BUIS out there. i know on certain flat top AR's the milled gas block has a weaver rail built in, mine does not. when i looked through the bushie catelog that came with the rifle it contains B.M.A.S. front BUIS that seem to use a clamp that isn't made for the weaver/picatinny rail. will this be my only option, or would a 4 rail forearm be the only way to mount picatinny style BUIS on this rifle?
