Genetelmen's guns are made in matched pairs. That way you can hand one to the reloader and he hands the other back loaded, while the drivers push the birds to you.

I guided a fella on a quail hunt one day who had a matched set of Purdy's. $27,000. Of course he couldn't hit a darn thing with them.

That doesnt sound like a bad way to go... maybe I'll buy one or two when I become a gentelman.

Heres another question; is the 1100 hard to come by now? I havent been able to locate one around here to handle.

Oh yeah, we are set. Where there is a will, there is a way. I found a little extra cash I forgot I stashed from the the sale of a 700pss this past summer.

She wants me to get a new shotgun 'cause I used to really like shooting clays, doves, pheasants etc., but have got out of it in recent years. She knows how much I love shotgunning, and wants me to jump start my interest again.

Yeah, I see that on their site... I kinda like the sporting 20. I'm going to try and find one to handle in the morning.

The weathercoat stock is a great product, I've used it in dove fields, and hunting for quail in all conditions.

How about a 1100 Tactical? Should make a fine bird gun. Seriously, Bud's Gun Shop shows several models of the 1100 in stock. About 2/3 of the way down the first page. Davidson's also shows several variations in stock, though there total inventory count appears to be 19 at the present time.

Get that Remington and that JRT dog of yours and take him squirrel hunting.

You'll have the time of your life.

I went and saw the Remingtons today... they that new G3 in stock, as well as a sporting 12. I liked them both, but I think I would buy the G3 except I'm not sure if I like the laminate stock or not. I prefer my shotgun in a more traditional trim.
    I think I've narrowed down to a 1100 in 20ga or a montefeltro in 20 or 12.

Remington 870 wingmaster in walnut and make it a 20 guage. Its what I have used for pheasant, quail and duck. Its affordable, its reliable and shoulders nicely. 20 gauge doesnt beat a bird up as bad as a 12. And you can shoot all day without thinking how that shoulder is gona feel tomorrow.

    Sixto,
The love of my life is skeet. I shoot a browning Citori grade one and compete in trap and skeet leagues at work. I got my gun from http://www.yankeeartifacts.com/ and have known a few people to get guns from them for really good deals.

Check em out and c if they got what you want.
