Merry Christmas to me! DPMS AR!

The war department (my wife) gave the go ahead on a new DPMS Lite 16. Pretty excited to get it out on the range hopefully this weekend. I paid $800 flat and got the rifle, hard case, 30 round mags, sling, cleaning kit, and they installed an ambi safety for me.

Did you ask the defense department to allocate aid funds from the treasury department to procure any necessary accessories and ammo? LOL
That's awesome! I think the ambi-safety is a good idea also. I wouldn't mind doing that to the ol' bush-mower myself. Enjoy! And a Merry Christmas to you!

Yeah, I'm a lefty and I'm fine with the right side ejection, mag release, and bolt release, but the fire selection switch needs to be ambi for me.

Congrats on the new AR, I will eventually get one someday.

Well, not married so I didn't have to go through the "war department" to get my Bushmaster. Sometimes I wish I was so I would have someone to make me think about these purchases. Going to be gun poor I believe. Thought it was a bad thing at first but man, gotta love the sweet frangrance of a new firearm! ha! Congrats on your purchase... enjoy it!

It's definately a good thing to have someone to reign me in a bit sometimes. Otherwise, I'd spend my money on guns and Ramen Noodles.

    Congrats.

You didn't forget to tell her about the $400/1K rounds of ammo that you will also need to buy to use in the gun did you?

Verrry nice. Has anyone mentioned that it's customary to ship new guns to DC mods to try out?

    Not buying that eh?

Enjoy the new gun - I'm sure you're gonna like it!

Guns and Ramen noodles....nice. My wife gets a budget for groceries, so I know I'm going to eat. The rest is up for grabs...
