I have a chance to buy a slightly used Bushmaster A3 M4 "patrolman" model .223 for what seems to be a good price. I'm new to the AR side of the world and was wondering what your experience is with this model. Thanks for your input!
I'd say grab it! If you think you're getting a good deal---it being a Bushmaster just makes it better. I'm a fan of the HBAR's myself, but that Patrolman carbine should do you well and less weight. I've gone to using mainly the thermold or orlite 30 round magazines in mine. Very dependable.
Thanks all for your input. Decided to go ahead and buy it! No, I don't have pictures yet. Haven't even had a chance to play  with it yet. Fit and finish seem in good shape. I'll let you know how it all goes.
Do make sure to strip it, clean it and lube it as per the manual before you go shoot it for the first time.
Enjoy the carbine - they are a lot of fun to shoot.
Matt
