    My New Yugo M70B1.

Well I picked up my Yugo M70B1. I did alot of research before buying and I am happy with my purchase. First thing is the fit and finish of the Yugo vs. WASR type rifles is night and day. The reciever is American made (DCI) and looks much thicker then the standard 1mm standard it looks more like a RPK reciever then a AKM. I think it might be 1.6mm. Also it has magazine well dimples. Magazines fit very firmly int the magwell. The finish of the entire rifle is very clean, much better then a WASR. The barrel is not chrome lined but that is not a concern of mine, I will not be using corrosive ammo. The barrel looks perfect inside. The internals of the rifle are very clean from the factory. No metal shavings, excessive cosmoline. All and all I have very happy with the build of the rifle. I will be taking it out the desert this weekend to do some shooting. Range report will follow.

    YUGO!!!!!!!!

I just got the fixed stock the other day. Pressed for time and not able to shoot for awhile.....I'll get out there as soon as I can but it's a very nice axe. And according to Ed at Centerfire, it is in fact 1.6 mil thick.

    Here's mine...............

    Have fun.

That is exactly what mine looks like. I will get some pics on ASAP. Going shooting tomorrow. I took it apart yesterday and gave it a good cleaning and lube. It was very clean from the factory, just wanted to give it a good once over and inspection.

I'll be interested in knowing how the brass flies. My Yugo throws brass to 2 o'clock low.

    yugo

Shot it today......shoots about 3 inches to the right at 25 yards. Have the tool to adjust windage but did'nt get around to it because of a trigger problem.

About twice a mag.....the trigger would go all the way back and not fire....let it move a little forward and you would hear a "click" and you could pull it back again....then it would fire.

Dangerous and worrysome........any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks for posting pics of an M70B1 the same afternoon that the wife talks me into buying her a ring for $1500 for our anniversary! I would love to have one of those as a twin to my M70B2...and one of these days I will!

    Cheers! M2

It's exactly the same thing I've got. You'll love it - congratulations on the new purchase.
