I just got a Sig 556. It has a 1:7 twist, and I have been told it does better with heavier bullets. Therefore I have purchased Hornady 223 REM 75 gr TAP FPD for it. Seems to perform well. But I wonder if a 60 gr would be better with regard to overpenetration in its use for HD.
At the ranges you will see indoors, yes, a 60 gr would be better in regards to overpenetration.
No matter the weight, I think you will be fine with the TAP ammo anyway.
If you can, I would build a mock wall and test some to see for yourself.

Thin walled "varmint" type loads could cause problems with too fast of rifling - the bullets can spin their jackets off. I think as long as you are using something 55 grains and up you should be ok. I would avoid the plastic tipped bullets FWIW.
