    It finally arrived!!!

After a long and apprehensive wait it finally arrived. My Remington 700VLS chambered for .22-250, topped with a Leopold 6X18 Vari-X II scope.
Now I gotta go shoot it tomorrow! The rangefinder, spotting scope, and bench are already in the truck.

Nice rifle...nothing beats a 'bad' day at the range...and a good day is even that much better...

    Enjoy you new 'family member'...

Nice, the exact caliber I am looking at. I am focused on a TC encore though.

That's a really nice looking rifle......and I agree with SIXTO on the hat. It was even placed properly on the drawers behind the rifle, on it's crown and not on it's brim.

Wish I would have had one when I lived in SW OK, had to settle for my 30-06 with .22 saboted rounds. At about 4000fps could reach out and touch something quite well!!
Seeing the hat made me think. Easiest way to tell it was winter: Felt hat came out, straw hat was put up until next summer!!

Hey Archer51 did you ever go to Don Kizziar's and shoot prairie dogs when you were down here? He has about 400 acres of them and in the spring when the dumb one come out more often it's a blast. I enjoy using my Bushmaster Varminter and my daughter likes my Ruger 77/17. One day she shot 6 dogs off of one hill with it. Quiet and efficent.

Very nice! Did you say you traded a revolver for that?!? Looks like you got quite a deal. How many rounds through it?

The rifle shoots great!! I don't know how many rounds have been shot through it, but not a lot. I was only shooting it at 100yrds on Sunday, and kept the group at 3/4" with store bought loads (hsm). I was really only interested in the brass anyway, so I can do some research on what the rifle likes. It has a 1 in 14 twist so I believe that a lighter grain bullet will be more accurate, any imput?
BTW The hat is a Bailey Marfa, with a rolled brim,(Tom Mix style). It drives the women crazy!!

The trigger looks pretty sweet. What's/how's the pull on it?
