Been looking for an 18" improved cylinder barrel for my Rem 870 Express. Seems everyone is out of stock. I dont want to pay an arm and leg for one. About $100 - $120 is what I want to spend ona new matte black finish barrel.
Anyone got one or know someplace to look that I havent looked yet?
Been to Cabelas, MidWay USA, Brownells, Bass Pro Shops, and a couple other places I cannot remember. Some have them, but they are expensive replacements and most are blued finish.
They are all over Gunbroker.

Well.....you might think I'm pulling your leg but, check out Mossberg's website. They sell barrels for the 870....really!

I'm assuming you're looking at Midway since you're talking out of stock (my dad is in the EXACT same boat, :D )
So either check out GunBroker, GunsAmerica, AuctionArms, etc.; wait for backorder; or do this: Check out the barrel Mossberg makes FOR the 870, 18'' - runs 99.99 if I remember correctly. It's in the newest Midway catelog.
Some people don't deserve saving.

I have looked at MidWay & Guns America. Both are out of stock. I will check Mossbergs sight. Havent looked there, but everyone else is out of the Mossberg replacement so I assumed it was backordered everywhere.

I'm in the same boat too. Just placed a bid on GB. Cabela's has them for $139, Midway expects a shipment by Friday 2/29.

Yep, I did find a couple in stock, but they were too expensive or were blued barrels. I want matte finish.
Whats up with this? Have they all of a sudden become popular? So popular they cant make them fast enough? Or is the demand so low that no one had any instock, and now that I need one, everyone else also needs one??

I prefer a 20" improved bore with rifle sights. Great with buckshot and devastatingly accurate with slugs.

I don't wanna hi-jack this thread but...
Will regular express barrels work on the express "super magnums?" The kind that can chamber 3.5" shells? If not, do they make them in 18"?

Here are a few photos of my 870 before and after I replaced the 18” barrel with an OE 20” IC w/rifle sights. The white marking on the rifle sights really standout and work great with my old eyes. I purchased the new barrel through Midway for about $130 a good while back.
