    Reliable source of info about AKs.

    I want an AK, but Im having a hard time finding anything trustable and definitive on which one to get. If anyone could point me in the right direction ,I would appreciate it.

    First off - I will move this to a better forum, assuming by AK you mean AK47!.

    Search here and you should find many threads on the subject - plus too tho I forget the link - there is an AK dedicated forum - google will probably pull that up.

    This is a good place to find info on the AK's. Also, check these sites.
    The AK Forum and AKFILES.COM - The AK Files.
    A person is justified in the use of deadly force, if such person reasonably believes deadly force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to such person or a third person.

    And AR15.com has a section on AK's. I prefer AK Forum though out of all of them but I visit them all.

    google for atlantic firearms

    Norinco MAK-90, put on a flash suppressor and change out the thumbhole buttstock to a folder or standard stock then ready to rock and roll

    other additons could a rails for weapon flashlight and EO Tech

    Big +1 here! Jim Fuller's guns are awesome and he's always quick to respond to questions (as are the other guys on that board). I'm going to have him build my next one as soon as I have the $$$ for another rifle.

    Also check the AK forum at GetOffTheX (lots of very knowledgeable guys here as well).

    These two sources are, IMO, some of the best because these guys actually train (and some have fought with) AK's.

    I own a Russian made AK-47, as well as an AR-15. Both are fun to shoot and I believe the AK-47 to be slightly more reliable. For good info try this:
