It's a Samson flip-to side mount (which is ok, I wish it was more solid... I'd like to get a better one) and a DM Premium 4x magnifier which I actually really like.
I've been meaning to post in this thread for a while, and I finally had my rifle and camera in the same room tonight...
It started life as as a stripped Stag-15 lower receiver. I built out the lower, then put a 16" carbine upper on it, but I wanted something for long-range competition and 3-Gun matches.
So, it currently has a Timney drop-in trigger and a Spike's FailZero M16 bolt/carrier. The new upper was done by Clark Custom Guns. It is a 20" HBAR fluted Krieger barrel, Miculek compensator, carbon-fiber full-length handguard, Harris bipod, EOtech sight, and a Primary Arms 5x magnifier with flip-to-side mount. Oh, and the Magpul BAD lever is just a must-have accessory!

Picked up a mint eotech flip to side 4x magnifier for my SBR. (They are discontinued) The field of view and quality of glass is awesome!
Picked up a couple of other new toys as well.
Of the Aimpoint and the EOTech flip-to-side magnifiers, which locks into their un-used and in-use positions more solidly? Or are both pretty much the same?
I'll have saved up to go for optics for my AR and my shotgun, with my next pay.
My EOTech is rock solid when in place, but it doesn't lock to the side. It just flips out of the way and stays put because of the spring. I couldn't say about the Aimpoint.
I got my Vickers sling in today. Just put it on. My AR is done... as far as I know
I might think about upgrading to an Eotech flip-to-side mount for my magnifier. I like my magnifier just fine, but the flip-to-side mount totally sucks. Anytime I flip it off to the side, and then flip it back, the holographic reticle moves. Of course this doesn't affect zero, it's just annoying.
Aimpoint in the LaRue flip to side mount from what I've seen. I use the twist mounts.
Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe
