Of the Aimpoint and the EOTech flip-to-side magnifiers, which locks into their un-used and in-use positions more solidly? Or are both pretty much the same?

I'll have saved up to go for optics for my AR and my shotgun, with my next pay.
The aimpoint magnifier with larue flip to side mount is Solid! You simply pull back on the magnifier and it unlocks and you rotate it out of the way. Very clean, robust design.
I prefer this setup vs. the eotech.

    This started life as a DDM4 v1:

~6.5lbs unloaded with an aimpoint, light, and spare batteries for each. I plan to get a low pro sling mount and eventually might add a folding rear sight, 3x mag in twist mount, and an IMOD stock.
    I collect ammo, not guns.

Now's the time to do the Aimpoint 3x since you can get them for half price, even if it is from Botach.
Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe

    My credit card hates you.

ETA: On 2nd thought, that $350 would be better spent on ammo.

Yeah, but it's hard to pass up a 50% off deal...

Where in Texas do you live?

It's even harder to not make rent.
