Been wanting a flip down gas block, but I hate the idea of getting rid of the pinned fixed sight. So I think instead, the cheaper and most of all, easier route is to just get a 1/4" riser for my holosight and magnifier. Just as effective and I can keep my front sight :) Eventually I'll replace my Eotech 502/Bushnell with an Eotech XPS. I like the shortness of the XPS. Or maybe I'll go with the EXPS and use it without the riser I plan on getting for my current sight.

For some reason every time I take picture of my rifle, I'm never happy with them. I put a lower 1/3 mount for my holosight and got a raised flip-to-side mount for my magnifier. MUCH more rigid mount than my previous one. I'm happy. No when I flip the magnifier over to the side and back, the retical returns to the same spot in the magnifier is was before. With the old mount, the retical would always change position. Not really important, but annoying. I want a SOPMOD stock.

Which magnifier and mount are you using there...?

It's a DM Premium 4x magnifier. I have no idea the real quality of it, but it's gets the job done for me. The clarity is great. The mount is a Primary Arms 1.75" tall mount. It's the only mount I could find that would fit with the 1/4" mount for my holosight. It turns out it's MUCH better than the previous Samson mount I had before. I liked the way the Samson mount worked, it had a little tab you flick and a spring flips the magnifier off the the side under it's own power, but when locked into position, the retical never returns to the same spot. Not a big deal, just annoying. The Primary arms, you actually have to take an overhand grip around the magnifier and pull back on it to unlock it and then manually flip it off to the side. But it locks into place much more solidly. The retical always returns to the center, every single time. Primary Arms makes great stuff. They may not be professional grade, but I don't think they'd be too far off. The quality is excellent for the money.

Ordered my B5 SOPMOD stock last week. I'll have it Tuesday. Looking forward to it :D Many pictures will be posted. I'm glad. Been wanting the LMT for years now. But $200, yikes. Can't wait to rest my check on it :) Short sentences. At least they're not run-on sentences like I learned about in elementary school that have no punctuation sometimes I get texts from friends like that and I can't understand what they're talking about it makes me upset I wish they'd stop see my point?

Got bored and dug out the krylon:

I really like that handguard. OR maybe its just a rail. Anyhow, there are nice and thin. I feel like I get a more solid hold on them.
