AAC 9" 300blk. I'll probably replace the DD front sight with a KAC and the x300 with a scout at some point. I'm not sure what optic though the T1 from my 14.5" will have to work for now. I've tried a few different set ups to see how it feels.

Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe
Big weekend picked up 2 long guns, Here's my PSA AR15:
Day 2: Added a Promag Poly Rear Site, Until I figure out what optics I want on it, CAA Adjustable Stock and also picked up a few Promag 30 magazines.
not sure exactly what I'm going to do to it yet, but modifying/building these things is almost (maybe more) as addicting as modding my car and I've only had it for 2 days.
Check out the HD Shotgun thread for my Mossberg 835 acquisition.
Look what wandered in just the other day. :)
I thoroughly disapprove of duels.
If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand
and lead him to a quiet place and kill him.
Good looker, Munch.

Well, got my new Colt 6920 the other day. I have been purchasing parts and pieces while I was waiting on it to get to me. It came stock with a Rogers Super-Stoc and a black Magpul MBUS rear sight. I didn't take any pictures of the stock set up, I was too eager to start slapping parts on. Sanded and painted an old set of hand-guards with Krylon camo tan as a placeholder for the RIS II FSP until I get it sent off to a gunsmith for barrel work and rail install. Also added a carry handle I had sitting around to replace the MBUS. Back up rear sight on a flat top with no optic just looked strange to me and I'm not a huge fan of the MBUS anyways.
I forgot how light and handy a bare bones M4 is. I'm so used to all the extra stuff hanging everywhere!
Here is an idea of what's to become of this little guy. Took a pic of the parts waiting for their home before the carbine showed up. Still missing a few things but got most of the big parts taken care of! I'm holding out for a 500 lumen scout from Surefire and also need to get a Larue mount for the T1 and a FDE Troy folding rear sight. The barrel will get chopped to 14.5 and the Blackout mount permanently attached when it goes to the smith.
Thanks, I'm ready for this thing to be all put together!
As for the x series light at 12 o'clock, I've thought about that some. I may throw my old X200 on it just to test the concept out. If I really like it then I'll get an X300 Ultra, if not I'll get an Ultra Scout whenever they come out.
The funny thing about the parts I decided to use on this thing is that it accidentally ended up looking like a SOPMOD block 2 for the most part. I decided I wanted to put together a tough fighting carbine and have been choosing parts based on strength, durability, and personal preference for months. I wanted a Colt with an extended rail but also with the front sight post. Got the SOPMOD stock just to try them out since so many people love em (was actually waiting on a Bravo but couldn't find one in FDE).
I guess whoever spec'd the Block 2's had good taste!
Here is the newer G33 EOtech magnifier with an EOtech 517 running on top of an LMT CQB MRP rifle.

Here's another LMT MRP rifle with the Aimpoint CompM3 and the Aimpoint 3x magnifier both on Larue Tactical mounts/flip to side.
U.S. Army retired
^ Skygod, what's your assessment of/preference for the two flip-to-side magnifiers above?
I noticed this thread started in 2008 (congrats Packman73!!) and although the AR platform remains basically the same it is so cool to see how the various attachments have evolved over the last 5 years.
A serious man toy!!!
