    Shotgun mounting methods: secure, quick-access?

I want to mount my shotgun in a corner of a closet in the "safe" room so that it's both secure and affords quick-access in case of emergency. Hidden from casual view, it would also be easily accessible. This would not be for the long arms stored in the safe. It would be for the one or two shotguns stored close at hand for emergency use.

    Know of a good solution?

I am imagining a steel plate attached to the wall underneath the drywall layer, with a suitably stout clamping system to keep it secure. It should also have a quick-release mechanism, perhaps in the form of biometric locking. Something with this sort of layout: Tufloc single-gun rack. It can be the sort of mounting system used in police cars, or more of a locker/rack approach used in the armorer's shop. Whatever works, though something that doesn't take up a lot of space and can nicely coexist in a corner of a closet, out of the way from prying eyes.

Haven't spoken with the Sheriff, yet. I imagine that the Sheriff and police departments have some simple, practical options they use.

The tufloc can be had for around $60., its ready made for that exact purpose.

Sometimes, your local PD or S.O. will auction off old cruiser mounts, these work well too. You can buy one new, but they are fairly expensive.
