I have the chance to get a Norinco Uzi-clone carbine as payment for some gunsmithing work. The gun is nice except..... It has a horrible looking wood thumb hole stock. I see traditional Uzi metal folding stocks for sale at CTD, Numrich, etc. Does anyone know if the folding stock is compatible? Possible to modify? Legal issues? What hardware is needed? The gun has not been fired much, mostly due to the fact that the only magazine he has is a USA Magazines 50 rounder and it wont feed two rounds of ball in a row. It ejects fine without the mag, though. It would be worth about $300 of work, any thoughts on value?
Generic pics from Google: wood stock
The way I would like it:
I'll give you $300 + transfer fees, cash. Seriously. AFIK, you should be fine with a folding stock. I think the forum is "uzitalk", and you may find some info on weaponeer and/or the akfiles.
Here's a link for pricing, BTW: GunBroker.com guns: Norinco Uzi 9MM Model 320 NIB (item: 97669657 ends: Apr-24-08 01:42:01 PM)
