Here's mine. I want to put new furniture on it. I really want something like I have seen in a few of the pics here. Collapsible AR style stock and an accessory rail equipped fore end with a vertical grip. I'd also like to get an AR pistol grip for it.

It shoots great and has never so much as hiccuped with any brand or type of ammo I have stuffed in it.

Am I to understand that you paid under $800 for your starter kit?

Has anyone taken the time to read the caption to post #10? Wow. I wish I knew then what I now know. And I wish I wasn't living behind the iron curtain (NYS) in those days.

Also, the SBR in post #6 is most impressive. Nice job.

I found this underfolder in the paper yesterday for 450. The guy did such a nice job on this kit, I don't think I'll change a thing.

with a little pimping - new grip, muzzle break and scope rail (with scope)

my friend re-finished my action from the blued Romanian style to a nice stainless

Nice... very nice. Did you strip the furniture and bleached it? I am usually not for plain wood looks but yours looks good.

762, does your scope mount stay zeroed after removing/replacing the cover?

not all the time. that's the one negative about it. re-adjusting is easy, i just need a boresighter.

the cover is a higher quality then the one that came with it, so i killed 2 birds with one stone on it. it doesn't move/wobble at all. very, very sturdy.

If the zeroing back and forth becomes a nuisance, get a side rail or a Beryl rail
