    M4 Build Kits

While I am overseas I can't really get an M4. I have read that I can purchase a kit minus the lower receiver without having a background check. I'm thinking that I could buy the kit and then pick up the receiver when I go home on R&R. Who makes the best kits? Is all my information correct? Thanks. Oh, Hello from the Northern Arabian Gulf

    research here...

to many variables on what you want your rifle to be used for...so no one can really give suggestions unless you say what the rifle will be used for.

I wish I could spend alot of time researching rifles and such. While I am at sea we do have internet from time to time. When we do its slower than slow. Like slower than dial up. With it being so slow I like to hear personal stories of people who may have purchased kits.

As far as a rifle I want a standard M4, chome lined 1/9, 223, standard front sight, and removeable carry handle/rear sight.

    Thanks

J&T Dist. makes a very good kit. I have built 3 of those and never had any problems. They are not the cheapest, nor are they the highest. Very good customer service also.

I used the Del-Ton kit for mine and I've had no problems and would recommend them. J&T is another good one.
