    Remington 1100 barrels?

Does anyone know of a 18-20" barrel made for a Rem 1100?

Check your local pawn shops for extra barrels. I've done this with my previous Mossbergs 12 and 20 gauges. Find a cheap/extra factory length barrel and cut it down (or have your gunsmith do it) to what you want (legally of course) and front post re-installation.

I've checked with various gun shops, stores, etc.......and ended up finding four extra barrels for my 1100 at a local gunsmiths shop. Call around first before you spend money online, you might find exactly what your looking for.

Just so you know the 1100 has a real spotty reputation with any barrel shorter than 21" . I am told this is due to the duration of the gas impulse rather than the volume of gas so its not readily fixable by drilling out the ports . Your 1100 might run and then again might not with a shorter tube .

I just picked up an 18" barrel for a Remington 1200 on Gunbroker.com.

That's correct. Not a big problem though. It can usally be corrected by drilling the gas hole out. Most gunsmiths start at 10 percent oversize.
