Generally, reliability and durability.
Semi-autos are a little quicker, to be sure, but surprisingly less of a speed factor than you might think (those big shells can only get in and out of there so quick).

Semi-autos have gas system with seals, which must periodically be replaced. And which could fail at the exactly WRONG time.

Here is my favorite HD shotgun. I had a Mossberg 590 but I ended up selling it and switching back to my 500A as my primary shotgun. The 500A just feels better in my hands as the balance is more towards the rear and it isn't front heavy like the 590. I put a Specter Gear shell holder on it and called it good.

that is one mean looking shotgun you have there! Where did you order the sling? I've been trying to find a good sling for my 870.
