Well my wife must be a keeper...

Because I just continued to arm her today.

In celebration of our 9th anniversary, I called her up and told her to meet me at the gunstore.

When she arrived, I took her to the rack full of AR's and said "Take your pick!"

$1100 later she walked out with a brand new DPMS M4rgery flattop and a brand new Eotech sight to top it off. Oh, and a big smile from ear to ear because she has wanted her own AR for 9 years now.

She must be a keeper, because I can't run far enough away from her now.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

    Nice!
My SO has no interest in my guns unless she hears a noise at night and wants me to investigate. Then she is happy I have gun...
Oh well. I guess it's better that she allows me to protect her than her saying no guns in the house...

    Very nice gift.

Now get the LaRue Tactical mount for that EOtech.

Thats great you guys can share your hobby! My wife has definitely come full circle on the gun issue, however she won't ever be wanting an AR. Congrats!

Wow....glad my wife doesn't go to this forum. You'd of gotten me in trouble by now. :P
Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men.

WOW, she does sound like a keeper. As you mentioned, it doesn't matter now, cuz if you try to run she's good for a couple hundred yards at least! I just bought my wife an LCP 3 days ago. She loves guns.

AR-15's compared to Diamonds, Sapphires or Rubies are cheap! Keep up the good work.

I just want to comment in a slightly serious way about the title: "my wife must be a keeper."

A woman's interest in guns is far down the list of important things in life. Your wife is a keeper if she: a) stands by you in good times and bad; b) stands by you when you are ill; c) and shares most of your important values about life and living. You are a keeper if you stay faithful, try your best to earn a living however meager--try, avoid outbursts and childishness, and selfishness.

I'm married 35 years. My wife won't touch a gun. But, she is a keeper.

Never ever get married with the thought in your mind that if it doesn't work out you will get a divorce. Marry with the thought in your mind that no matter what, you will make it work. And then try your best to stick to that.

(Obviously, there are situations where intolerable conflict will arise and divorce is inevitable, but those times should be much more rare than they presently are in our throw away society.)

Here are some pics of my lovely bride test driving her new rifle.

    Getting it zeroed in.

    Having fun.

She is very happy with it. They are fun rifles. Of course, she got to learn about the not so fun part of cleaning them later that day.
