I don't know about this but if someone came into my house and I had my remington express 870 (basically a shotgun) cocked and someone heard it, I hope that someone would somewhat be scared if they heard the pump of a shotgun. One would HOPE it would be enough to make them run while in the middle of a burgulary but has anyone had any personal experiences with having an intruder come in and having them get scared off by the sound of ur gun being pumped?

To be safe, rack a round in your 1911 at the same time. The BG will wet himself , cower in the corner, and scream for you to allow him to call the police to save him from your Sacred Boom Sticks.
