    New Lever Gun Project.

Last week, I met up with a member of another forum and traded some weaponry.

He got my Mosin Nagant and a fair amount of ammunition.

I got a Marlin 30AW (Walmart 336) that needed a bit of work.

Spent the day striping it down and redoing it. Tell me what ya'll think.

    Lessons Learned:

Always buy more bluing compound than you think you will need.
Spend the extra cash for the gel or paste instead of the watery liquid.
The dremel is not your friend. While it does hate rust, it hates steel equally so.
Never get involved in a land war in Asia, and never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line.
Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men.

Not bad,one thing I never liked about cold blue is it wears off over time,I have since switched to the newer type of spray on coatings like duracoat or KG type gun finishes especially for handguns that holster wear is extremely hard on cold blued guns

From what I understand the paste versions last a lot longer and give far superior results.
