    .45 ACP Carbine

Anyone know of any being currently manufactured, other than the Mec Tech unit, the Beretta Storm and the old Marlin Camp Carbine?

I think you can get a M3 grease gun repo in semi auto. Also HK's USC comes in .45 IIRC. Olympic Arms also makes an AR in .45 ACP.

Good luck Jon. I'm actually taking off this weekend to spend some time with the family. But I'll be back at it next weekend. :)

Does that HK still come with those ridiculous ten round magazines, or have they redesigned them?

I know some company was converting them so the carbines could use grease gun mags at one time.

I wouldn't buy a 45 carbine limited to ten round clinton clips.

I think it's the H&K UMP and they come with a 25 rd mag, IIRC. Really WEIRD looking gun, IMHO. Something about how the front sight appears to be split from the barrel at the muzzle.

yor right exsoldier. My mistake. I kinda like the gun, suppose to be a lighter version of the MP5. Sigh, maybe someday I will have 1.

Hi points are ugly and not terribly ergonomic, but they're cheap, tough, and reliable. I used one to run through a carbine class with Progressive FORCE Concepts (taught by Chris Fry) and was amazed that it kept on working and working. The barrel didn't have a chance to cool down completely for, like, two hours!

    Is the HiPoint carbine a .45 or a .40SW? I haven't heard of the .45.

I have one in 9mm. They have a .40 and I thought at one point a .45 was planned, but I don't think the .45 is available yet.

Thanks for the tips, guys. Yes, I have heard of the High Point but never seen one. I did think that they only came in 9mm and .40 though. Now the link to Valkyrie arms proved fruitful - not because of the grease gun - take a look at this OTHER link on their web page. Now THAT looks like a camp gun!

Shucks - Delisle - ain't that a blast from the past - stubby lookin lil' beggar that is!

I am trying to recall, but have some rusty memory, that there was a wartime Delisle that was a suppressed gun.? Or am I thinking of a Lanchester - geez, my firearm's history is so spotty.
