For a complete firing AR15, all I need to order is the lower from Tubby's GB, and this?

Del-Ton, Inc. AR-15 16" Light Weight Rifle Kit

    Sorry for the newb question
That looks pretty good but I have one question about it. One of the upper receiver options includes a forward assist. The others dont mention it. Worst case, it's another $25 for a FA, spring, and pin to fill the hole. The gun should run fine without it.
But yeah that sure looks like a complete kit ready to wrap around a lower.

It literally takes 30 minutes and only requires a hammer and a punch.
(+1) I just did it last weekend. Also, a pair of vice-grips, a utility knife and some electrical tape can come in real handy. I used the guide from ar15.com and a two-part youtube video. It was a lot simpler than I thought it would be.

It looks like all you'd need (based on the description from DelTon's site) is a stripped lower, the tools, and the time to have yourself a functional AR. I like the fact that their upper comes assembled, headspaced and test-fired. That pretty much makes it fool-proof.

just got back from sportmans warehouse here in AZ, new DPMS AR-15's $699.00 looks like a basic 16" carbine with flattop upper, only thing is there is no dust cover...

I wouldn't discount Olympic Arms. I live in Olympia, WA where they are made. The company got a bad rap WAY back when they were making cast lowers. Their QC has greatly improved. I have an Olympic Arms K3B-m4-A3-TC on layaway. They have the most solid free-floated rail system out there. Price is a plus too. Check them out at Olympic Arms, Inc. - Home

I just stumbled upon this the other day. It's a 45MEG download, but it is 100% accurate on how to put an AR lower together from a bag of parts.
