How about an AR5.7?
I'm not a big FN P90 fan.......but I think the 5.7 round would be a good substitute for the 9mm SMGs like the MP5......It's not as good as the 5.56, but it would be a good CQB round room to room fights. This would be great for home defense rifle without the over penetration of the 5.56/.223.

That magazine looks like it holds maybe 60 rounds.
Very interesting concept. It might work well for its intended purpose with the right ammo.

I believe that's the 50 round mag. I LOVE my PS90 and have been toying with the idea of getting one of those uppers for a new AR build. There's almost no recoil with the PS90, I'd think it would be like a .22 in a AR platform.
Only thing is the price of the mags....they cost a ton compared to AR mags.

Pretty cool but ammo is expensive

I'll give it props in the cool factor department.
Beyond that...I think it's usefulness, particularly for someone who doesn't own a PS90 or FiveseveN, is questionable.

Agreed....if you already had something in that caliber....

I've played around with one but haven't shot it. A coworker bought one and they're pretty cool. They eject down out of the mag well!

I like the PS90, it's very ergonomic and easy to handle in close quarters. It's not a gun I would shoot often due to ammo costs.

Mine comes out of the safe rarely due to ammo costs. 50 rounds around here usually runs around 25.00.
I've read where another ammo mfg. has started making the 5.7 rounds with FN. Perhaps that'll help.

What "over penetration of the 5.56/.223"? It's growing more popular to use because it's less likely to over-penetrate than nearly any other alternative...

As much as I like my AR , a P90 seems a better choice for short range work due to the bullpup design making it much shorter.
