There is just something "inherently WRONG" with that. Sorry, if someone whipped that out.... it would take me 20-30 minutes to quit laughing. But here, some of us really really don't like purple because of particular university that has that as their school colors...... and they seem to like anything (& I do mean anything ) that is purple.
Well at least it isn't one of those "Evil Black Rifles". Besides it brightens up the range. If any one has one of those they don't want, I'll take it free of charge, it would give me something to play around with and trick out however I want.
I am never against getting a free gun no matter what kind or color.

It doesn't look any uglier an than a AR with 'tan' furniture. What's the problem?
Maybe I'll build one to see if people laugh at me on the range... could be a good money maker, and at the same time show some guys insecurity about their manhood.
I think my next 1911 will have to be lavender. Then If I have to draw the Bad guy will have a laughing fit and give me an edge. Take every advantage one can get.
would an entire platoon w/those things work as reverse camouflage.
SAS Pink Panthers.
I know a couple people that paint their mags and such pink or purple, because they can be reasonably sure nobody's going to steal them at the range. As for me, whatever gets the women I know out shooting, and keeps them interested, is fair game.
