Remington Express accessory question
I tried to order a mag extension tube from Tac star on my Remington 870 magnum express. I was told they don't make those. Does anyone know if, in fact, you can get one for the magnum express and where? Also, anyone have ideas where you can buy steel clasps to bolt under my dash to hold my legal shottie? TX!
ps. and what's this I hear about the mag tube being "dimpled" to keep from adding an extension??

I just ordered one for my magnum express.
Choate Machine & tool 1-800-972-6390
I ordered the 7 round and it's 1/2 inch shorter then my 20" barrel I just installed.
The dimples are on the stock mag tube I drilled them out with a 3/16 drill bit, then run my dremel along the inside to smooth it out so the follower will move all the way up. It really only took about 10 mins. Good luck
ETA: A standard 2 gun rack bolted under the back seat of my extra cab with a gun case carefully strapped in and it is safely out of sight, protected, and the extra cab door has to be opened to pull it out... worked for me..YMMV

newer express guns tube are dimpled. If your gun is an older one, any 870 ext. will work. It is pretty easy to get rid of the dimple though.

Just a follow up. Mags work on 18.5 and greater barrels. They don't work on 18" barrels.
