    Anyone have a Saiga ?

just wondering how it is in terms of accuracy, reliability. etc. they are fairly inexpesive (about 200.00) here, and im wondering if its worth it, or if there is a similiar semi-auto rifle in that price range that is more worth getting.

Yes, fairly accurate, I did have a stove pipe yesterday, but am convinced it was the ammo, stay with brass.
    I have a .308.
Around $200, is a good price.

I own a Saiga 410. I absolutely LOVE it. Never once had a stovepipe, FTF, or FTE. Not a single issue in ~1k rounds.

On the side its marked Izhmash, Russia. I really want to get a Saiga 12 after my positive experiences with my .410.

I've got a 7.62X39. Tough, reliable, (after all it is an AK) and with the 20" barrel; it is more accurate than me. I use the Wolf russian ammo, (steel case)
and have never had a problem, and I put a lot of ammo through it!
I'm afraid the prices have jumped up a bit on these, They are more in the 3 to 4 hundred range lately, without mods of course.....

Last week bought a Saiga 12 shotgun with 19" barrel. Ordered AR15 style collapsible stock w/pistol grip for it to replace the hunting stock. Also ten 10 rounder mags by AGP Arms are on the way. Will put muzzle brake on it as well, haven't chosen the one I want yet. Considering getting an MD-20 twenty round drum for it as well. Looking forward to putting it all together and practice at the range.

I've got a Saiga-12. Not a "rifle", but probably not too far off, mechanics-wise. The safety was hard for me to get used to.

Never an issue with reliabilty or accuracy (slug-shooting, buckshot patterning). I can't get follow-up shots out of it as quickly as I'd like (small hands, short fingers, trigger re-set length combined with a little recoil - - I can get like three empties in the air at once, though), but it's one reliable shotty. Very reliable. ALWAYS goes bang. Never jams - - no fte, ftfeed, nothing.

Front sight was tilted off to one side out of the box. But, 'cause it's a Russian gun, that wasn't anything a good hammer couldn't fix.

Same here. Got the 7.62x39 just a couple months ago, so no extensive experience yet, but it shoots great (16" barrel). Mine was $425 at the Philly Gun Show; includes receiver mods to accept any AK mag, the standard 10-rd. mag, and 2 ea. 30-rounders.

Had a .410. I really liked it. Until it burned up in my Dad's cabin/house fire.
Never did get around to replacing it.
