I just wanted to say thanks for your input. I did polish the chamber and also bought some Remington ammo. I went out and shot a few tonight and it all worked very well. I think I am ok. I did also shot 3 rounds of the ammo that I was having problems with and it shot fine also.
Thanks again, Ron

Mossberg 500 Persuader
I have also experienced jams on my very new Mossberg 500 Persuader, pistol grip. I will say that I ran 25 shells of #7 bird shot through it without issue, but then the following weekend I loaded two Remington #4 buckshot, followed by two Federal Personal Defense (reduced recoil) 00 buckhot, followed by a #7 birdshot shell. So...the birdshot came out first, then one of the #4 buckshots, then it jammed trying to load the second #4 buckshot. I was able to manually remove the jammed shell, then pump-removed all others and started over. This time, after firing the #4 buckshot, it jammed trying to load the first 00 buckshot shell into the chamber - and locked up the mechanism solid. This took me about 10 minutes to finally clear. After that, I only loaded two shells at a time, and it seemed to work well. So..maybe it's "new gun breakin period", or maybe I short-cycled it. I bought this for home defense to supplement my two handguns, and it is my first shotgun. I will say that it is surprisingly easy to hit center mass on the targets at most common distances (15, 20, 25 feet) with this gun. But the jamming has me concerned. Could it have been loading sheels from two different manufacturers?

OP - What brand was the problem ammo you used? I had some issues ejecting the cheap Winchester X ammo from WalMart with my Rem 870. No issues with any other ammo. I use Federal target loads now for trap - no issues.

Not that any of you cared to respond...but it seems I found the problem.
