Bayonet Lug Mounted Bipod and Accuracy?

Bought one at a gun show today. I know for accuracy you don't want anything to touch the barrel, but considering the barrel isn't floated and there is a front sight with the gas porting anyway, do you think it will do affect accuracy? I'm not a super shot anyway, but I don't want to make it any worse, either.

Your bayonet mounted bipod on what bayonet lug?? An AR-15? I've not heard of this before actually. If your barrel isn't a free-float, I don't see much difference between that and one that's mounted to the handguard with an adapter. If your AR-15 has a bayonet lug, I'd imagine it's not a free floated barrel. I think you can get kits to do that though. In semi automatics, I think this may be a non-issue as far as barrel vibrations, or upward pressure on the barrel and such. With precision bolt action rifles with long barrels, it may be more of an issue, and from what I'm thinking, that's the school of thought for those intended purposes. Just my 2¢

Guess I forgot to say it was for my AR15. Pretty much what I thinking, POI might change a wee bit, but otherwise a schmuck like me won't notice a difference.

Oh, I'd never heard of a bayonet lug mounted bipod either until yesterday. The other choice seems to be replace my handguard with on with a picatanny rail. This was way cheaper and pops on and off in about a second. I like it so far.
