When adding a single point attachment (870)

Does one need a larger Reciever Stud?

As far as putting it between the stock and Reciever, is it as simple as putting stock in vise and separating the two via righty tighty, lefty loosey?

I did not need a larger receiver stud but it was really close. I think I might have only gotten three full revolutions before it was tight.

So, screw out recoil pad screws, screw stock bolt out, install attachment, reverse to put all back together.

Let me know how you like the single point on the shotty. I carried one a lot when on patrol and SWAT (Mossy 590). For that the single point was the way to go to fit over my nylon ninja suit. Also allowed for easy of transition. Watch out for you nads (voice of experience). Now that I am retired and so is my 590 I am going back to a two point sling.
