    Just got one myself

    Just got the bulgy ssr 85c from centerfire. It's some of the best shootin Ive done in awhile. The sights are off a little. The tac welded slant brake also came off with the first shot. Guess I'll need a better weld on it. Thought about just trying some jb weld. Overall, nice rifle.

    Bummer, guess I got lucky with a threaded one. I'm not real crazy about the slant brake. i'm looking for another type.

    If you don't have a threaded barrel, check out Dinzang Arms. They rent the tools so you can thread your barrel and at an affordable price.

    Bulgarians are the best IMO. Stamped or milled. Kalashnikov gives his blessings on those. Very nice rifle, and it speaks volumes.

    Welcome to the AK club. I love mine and am thinking of getting a couple more in the next 3 months or so....I think we all know why. I'll know for sure after the 4th of next month how much I want to buy.

    Don't worry about the stamped receiver. They are fine. Never had a problem with mine and I have run thousands of rounds through it.
