Springfield Armory is a name you can trust. They are nice looking guns and everyone claims they shoot great. I am new to these type guns and just bought a FAL L1A1 that are from what I know not a nice as they one in question. What is the cost and is it all original, Bipod included etc . more info. condition? Also , Fal files is a forum that has much information on the subject and they are very helpful. I have not personally shot one or even held one. I would like to own one !
Glock 32 (357 sig)
SA did not make those, they imported them from Imbel.
One of the only companies that still makes and deploys them to a lot of countries.
A nice rifle to have as it is not a kit gun but a 100% Imbel rifle.
Mine is an Imbel but not 100% as I had to swap out 7 perfectly good parts for US made ones. And it is still a kit gun.
So as far as collectible goes the SAR48 is worth more.
They are nice rigs you won't be disappointed.
Keep the gun oiled and the temple clean
I am confused. What is this then?

A SAR 48 is made by Imbel and imported by Springfeild Armory.

Imbel is famous for their quality and workmanship.
When these rifles were able to be imported there were only a few that did it.
FN FAL's were imported by Gunsouth, Steyer Arms and a couple of others.
Imbel FAL's were Imported by SA and badged as SAR48
Just like the XD is not made by SA but bears their name on it.
And after looking at those pics closer, namely the front sight and flash hider. That is why you do not use a foaming bore cleaner on a gas operated rifle. AMHIK

Grab IT FAST. GOOD man. I would die to get one. papa
The SAR 48 is a good acquisition that is and will continue to be a good investment. Having said that I am not a big fan of the FAL. I built two from kits w/ IMBEL receivers, new parts and new barrels. One was a carbine and the other was a full length rifle. The long gun was OK but the carbine gave me considerable trouble (FTF, short stroking). I tried everything to make it somewhat reliable but I ended up trading it for a Taurus 445T. It's a great piece of history but I'll go w/ a M1A any day. FWIW.
